MONOPHOROSIS

Website front page.png

from mono- (single) + phor- (bearing) + -osis (implying transformation)
                             > a unity bearing the traces of its own transformation

Monophoric Drawing

Wants to be pre-architectural and post architectural at once. The drawing wants to belong to that moment before architecture solidifies and perhaps after it has collapsed; a suspended state of potential where the architectural wants to emerge but no longer knows what it should look like.

For now …

With a growing focus on the inarchitectural which is not non-architecture.

The inarchitectural is a shadow logic of architecture: it is the floating sphere that refuses gravity, the hybrid form that cannot settle into type.

The inarchitectural is not to be built, it is to be carried in flesh.
